Karen Warner

Founder and President

Karen Warner is President and founder of Tangible Group, an executive coaching and consulting firm that helps leaders realize their full potential at work, so they can achieve great things in their careers, their businesses – and in the world.

Before launching Tangible in 2002, Karen served as Vice President of Worldwide Marketing for private equity firm, Atlas Venture. During her 27-year corporate career, she held management and executive positions in Product Marketing, Corporate Communications, and Strategic Planning at companies that include Dun and Bradstreet, American Express, Lotus Development and IBM.

Both Karen’s long business career and her personal history inform her coaching. For more than a decade, Karen has provided coaching and consulting services to high-profile, top performers in education, entertainment, high tech, law, managed services, medicine, and pharmaceuticals. In addition, she has provided marketing and consulting services for Paramount’s War of the Worlds, and Mission Impossible 3.

Coaching Specialties

Specialties include individual and team leadership practices, including: 360 feedback and DISC; resilience; conflict resolution; networking; trust, vision, and values; behavior styles; constructive communication; and executive presence and presentation.

Education

Karen studied international marketing in the Executive Development program at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Business. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Rutgers University and a Masters degree in Applied Positive Psychology, with a focus on Organizational Development, from the University of Pennsylvania.

Certifications

Karen received her coaching certification from Hudson Institute of Coaching in Santa Barbara, 2001.

She is certified in Conflict Dynamics Profile model by Eckerd College, 2015.

Publications

Karen authored the whitepaper City of Wellbeing: the What, Why, and How of Measuring Wellbeing, which was published by the City of Santa Monica in January 2014.

Karen’s Master’s thesis from the University of Pennsylvania focused on the worldwide measurement of wellbeing. The Wellbeing Index: A Landscape of Worldwide Measures and the Potential for Large-Scale Change continues to receive ongoing attention across the globe.
